Description

This is a two (2) day (3.5 hours per day) virtual gathering to share food sovereignty information with community members and relatives near and far. Topics:

  1. Healing of self and the land.
  2. Harvesting protocols.
  3. Seasonal foraging according the 13-month calendar.
  4. Community gardens.
  5. Food preservation.
  6. Policies around food sovereignty initiatives.
  7. Recipes.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we are taking precautions and meeting virtually, but will hopefully have future workshops in-person.

This summit is provided by the Mni Wiconi Clinic and Farm with financial support from the Standing Rock Language and Culture Institute.
