D/Lakota perspectives on mathematics
This is a public workshop for any teacher or community member interested in Dakota/Lakota perspectives of mathematics. This opportunity will be of particular interest to middle school, high school, and tribal college STEM instructors seeking to practically apply specific examples of Dakota/Lakota math within their classroom.
This course may be attended online via Zoom or in-person at the Sitting Bull College campus in Fort Yates. Participants who would prefer to attend in person must apply by July 31, 2022 at 11:59 PM CT. Applicants will be notified from August 1, 2022 whether an in-person spot is available to them; and if not, they may still attend the course online via Zoom.
