Work hands-on with video, audio, and writings by fluent speakers!

You will work hands-on with language of fluent speakers from the last 150 years through video, audio, and writings that they produced. You will learn to identify people, places, and themes within recordings, and to use ELAN, Transkribus, FromThePage, and FLEx software to produce transcriptions. These activities boost listening skills, comprehension, vocabulary, and actively contribute to Standing Rock's Wóoyake Project.

This series of two courses may be taken in combination with any other courses, or on their own.
